Understand the assignment

Read the committee guide to understand the country or perspective you represent and the limits of the committee’s work. Representation starts with research.

Look for documented positions

Explore official statements, relevant agreements and policy documents. Consider the country’s circumstances and how they relate to the topic. Avoid assuming that one news headline explains its whole position.

Build a consistent position

Summarise your country’s priorities, concerns and possible areas of cooperation. Link proposals to evidence. When information is uncertain, say so and continue investigating.

Listen for common ground

Ask other delegates about their priorities. You can disagree respectfully while identifying shared interests. Stay open to proposals that meet different needs without misrepresenting your assignment.

There is a place for you at the table.

A student. A teacher. A school. A world of possibilities.
